Summary Statement
Estimator-Project Manager is responsible for estimating and managing projects from planning through close-out, using the general contracting delivery process. This encompasses collaborating with all project team partners - owners, architects/engineers, consultants, contractors.
Specific Responsibilities
. Develop accurate cost estimates and budgets.
. Lead GC bid opportunities.
. Manage procurement and buyout of projects.
. Develop construction schedules.
. Manage efforts of staff team members on assigned projects.
. Coordinate work with owners, architects/engineers, consultants, contractors.
. Develop and maintain good relationships with owners, architects/engineers, consultants, contractors.
. Manage the construction and close-out of assigned projects.
. Manage financial aspects of projects.
. Work with clients and project team members to anticipate problems and implement solutions.
. Support and promote Safety Program and safe work conditions, participate in safety training.
. Bring projects in on budget and on schedule.
Qualifications
. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
. Five or more years construction experience in institutional, commercial and/or industrial construction.
. Demonstrated effectiveness as an estimator – projects kept within budget and on schedule.
. Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
. Proven organizational ability and attention to detail.
. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
. Have proven track record in successfully completing projects that meet objectives & requirements.
. Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain long term relationships with clients.
. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project and ability to use multiple web-based program management tools. Experience with Procore preferred.
